Juliette Dias

Art director/

      If I can’t create, I will die.

I know this seems like quite an intense statement, but I’m serious. I believe I’m destined to create. As human beings, we create in our day to day lives without even knowing it. I don’t want to just create because that’s what humans do unknowingly. I want to create with mindfulness. I want to practice noticing the little things, from the sunlight streaming through windows to the joys of reading before bed. I want to be present. I want to be inspired. I want to make a conscious decision to involve myself in as much as possible so that one day, I may learn something new that will propel me to the “aha” idea. I want to take a key role in my own life, my own creation.

I never want to stop learning. I always want to create. Or else, I may die. Just maybe.

When I’m not getting lost in the sauce, I’m...

studying advertising and studio art at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,

an account executive at The Daily Tar Heel, only the best student-led newspaper on earth,

a yoga instructor at UNC Campus Recreation,

an avid reader, particularly of memoirs,

a big movie watcher. My current favorites are Poor Things and Rosemary’s Baby,

and lastly, an aspiring art director. I know, I know, there is lots to see here. I would only hope it all aids in showcasing my art direction repertoire. There are lots of knives in this kitchen.

    xx

If this all seems a tad too serious... pop one.
